OCC Guitar Ensemble's End-of-Year Concert Will Feature Grammy-Winning Guitarist
Orange Coast College's Guitar Ensemble is giving their final concert of the year on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. in the Robert B. Moore Theatre.
Orange Coast College’s Guitar Ensemble is giving their final concert of the year on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. in the Robert B. Moore Theatre. The show will feature 35 guitarists from the College’s music program, with a special solo performance by Grammy award-winning guitarist William Kanengiser.
Kanengiser is a member of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet and teaches music at the University of Southern California.
“He rarely plays solo concerts in Southern California, so this is quite a treat,” says the OCC classical guitar program’s director Adam Pettit.

The show will showcase soloists, small ensembles and a large guitar orchestra on classical guitars, as well as student guitarists performing jazz and modern rock/pop standards on acoustic and electric guitars.
