• The Coastal Corridor Alliance 100226 (stunewsnewport.com) — Plans for the Frank and Joan Randall Preserve on Newport Beach's western edge are moving forward, with a new management plan approved and $2.4 million in fundraising campaigns underway. Future phases will add public trails, an interpretive center, habitat restoration, and a native plant nursery, with public access opening gradually as environmental studies and monitoring confirm the preserve can handle more visitors.
