Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report. Well, unfortunately we're dealing with some pretty lousy conditions.
There's quite a bit of chop on it, thanks to the steady south wind. We've got a combination of mostly decent southwest swell and some smaller west-northwest energy in the water.
That recipe is making for some fast and crumbly disorganized lines with a few pick-and-choose corners. Most Newport Beach spots are running about knee- to waist-high with the standout breaks pulling stomach-high waves, with a few chest-high sets.

At 4:45 early this morning the tide climbed up to a 4.9 high and then drops to a 1.3 low at 12:01 this afternoon.
If you're itching to get wet, throw on that 4/3 full suit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature hanging between 56 and 58 degrees. See ya in the water!
