World Dance Celebration to Feature Live African Drumming, Bagpipes and More!

Orange Coast College will hold its annual World Dance Celebration on Friday, May 22 at 8 p.m. in the Robert B. Moore Theatre.
This year’s showcase will feature colorful movements and music from Bali, the Caribbean, Egypt, Iran, Samoa, Scotland, Spain and Tahitis, as well as live African and Samoan drumming, and bagpipes.
A cast of 30 multicultural dancers will perform in the 60-minute concert, which is directed by OCC faculty member, Angelika Nemeth. The cast includes renowned Coast dance faculty, members of the College’s World Dance Ensemble, guest artists and a storyteller who will take the audience on a memorable cultural journey.
Advance tickets are available for $10 online at www.occtickets.com and the OCC Bursar’s Office, (714) 432-5880. Tickets will be $15 at the door.
