The fall kicks off the native plant gardening season in California and the Theodore Payne Foundation for Wild Flowers and Native Plants will host its annual fall sale and festival.
The sale and festival take place over two consecutive weekends, with the first weekend offering discounts only to Theodore Payne members. On hand will be staff and knowledgeable volunteers offering advice to customers. The event includes vendors and live music.
Theodore Payne has the largest retail nursery in Los Angeles County that exclusively offers native plants and seed. It has more than 400 different kinds of plants. For more than 50 years, the foundation has helped the public discover the beauty of California native plants.
Member Days are Friday & Saturday, October 7-8. 8:30 am-4:30 pm. Members receive discounts of 15% on most plants. During this member weekend, discounts are available only to Theodore Payne members, but memberships available at the door.
During the weekend of October 15-16, discounts are available everyone: Members still get their 15% discount and non-members, 10%. Seeds are discounted 10% on all days.
