Homeless Men Targeted In San Fernando Valley Shootings
Police are looking for one or more suspects, who shot and killed two homeless men within a span of hours Saturday in the San Fernando Valley
PACOIMA, CA — Los Angeles police detectives are asking for help identifying one or more suspects who shot and killed two homeless men in separate attacks in the Pacoima area over the weekend.
With very little evidence recovered in the shootings, detectives couldn't immediately say if the killings were connected. The slayings are the latest in a string of deadly attacks targeting people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles.
The first victim was a man in his 40s, who was shot and killed about midnight on Saturday in a ravine near Dronefield Avenue and Terra Bella Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The second victim was a 36-year-old man who lived in a homeless encampment alongside a Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway overpass. He was shot just after 6:45 p.m. Saturday while standing on the sidewalk near the freeway overpass in the area of Dronfield Avenue and Paxton Street. The man was rushed to a hospital, where he died of his injuries.

The victims' names were withheld pending notification of their next of kin.
No further details were released and no suspect description was available.
