Tujunga Brush Fire Threatens Homes

Nearly two acres have burned in the Tujunga area.

TUJUNGA, CA — Firefighters Tuesday extinguished a four-acre brush fire in the Tujunga area and prevented the flames from damaging three homes that were threatened, authorities said.

A small brush fire was burning in the Tujunga area Tuesday morning, threatening three nearby homes. Ground and air crews were battling the blaze burning near the 10100 block of North Mahogany Trail in the Tujunga area, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fire broke out at about 7:39 a.m. and scorched medium density brush, said fire department officials. No formal evacuation has been ordered.
