FBI Arrests Brothers In Gang Homicide Following North Hills Raid

Federal agents and Los Angeles police raided a home in North Hills early Thursday morning, detaining 12 people and arresting one.

NORTH HILLS, CA — Residents in a North Hills neighborhood awoke early Thursday morning to the sound of an FBI raid, as agents and Los Angeles police officers swarmed the area looking for a homicide suspect.

Authorities arrested two brothers on suspicion of murder.

Ever Morales, 21, and Moises Morales, 20, who live at the address, were taken into custody, said Laura Eimiller of the FBI. The arrests were made in connection with an ongoing federal gang investigation, Eimiller said, but details on the crime allegedly committed by the brothers were not immediately released.

Officers detained about a dozen people for questioning and arrested the brothers The search warrants were served at home in the 8900 block of Langdon Avenue, at about 5 a.m., , according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

SWAT team personnel and anti-gang investigators from the Los Angeles Police Department participated in the operation.
