Galaxy of Comics on Saticoy/Louise has a children’s book section
Local resource for children's books!
During a recent visit to Galaxy of Comics, I found out that we have a local storefront location for children’s books right here in Encino/North Hills/Van Nuys/Lake Balboa area. In the era of closing independent bookstores, this was a delightful find.
During the pandemic shutdown, Warren Jaycox brought a children’s book section to his long running local comic book shop on the southwest corner of Saticoy and Louise. There is a wide selection for all ages, with a variety of titles that are diverse in ethnicity and gender.
They also have SFV local author Jayden Phoenix’s books Jalisco, Santa and Loquita about a series of young women superheroes from Mexico in stock!

The 2021 FREE Comic Book Day will be on August 14th, 2021 and it will be an excellent opportunity to pick up some comics and check out the selection of children’s titles available in the shop. Galaxy of Comics also specializes in independent comic books as well as the mainstream titles.
