Storm System Brings Slight Chance Of Rain, Snow In The Mountains
The latest storm to move into the Los Angeles isn't expected to bring much rain, but another storm system is already heading south.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A storm heading to Los Angeles Thursday is unlikely to bring much rain, but the storm is expected to bring snow to higher elevations. By Thursday morning, portions of Angeles Crest Highway was closed due to weather conditions. Forecasters warned of possible snow at the Grapevine as well.
"We could see snow on the Grapevine Thurs, and with these gusty winds, travel could be difficult," the weather service tweeted Wednesday night.
Less than an inch of snow was predicted for the Grapevine.

Wind gusts from 40 to 50 mph, with possible isolated gusts of 60 mph, were possible for Los Angeles County, the National Weather Service said.
A wind advisory is in effect in the mountains until 3 a.m. Friday.

The low pressure system is forecast to move quickly through the region, with sunny skies expected on Friday.
A second storm is expected to move into the region early next week.
