A Novato dance team took home three first-place finishes last weekend at the Kids Artistic Revue National Dance Competition held in San Mateo.
Seven girls from known as the Extreme Team took home the highest point award in the 15-16 age division plus $100 for their home studio with a dance performance of “Marian the Librarian” from the musical “The Music Man.”
They also earned trophies for the three other dances they performed, including the specialty judges award for beauty and grace for “The Dance.” Their other dances were “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” from the “Mulan” soundtrack and “Jungle Drum” by Emiliana Torrini.

The Extreme Team is: Rebecca Black, Natalie Oga, Amanda McQuade, Corrin Dove, Misah White, Laura Jacob and Shannon Ainsworth. Their instructors are Kate Kenyon and Debbie Ogden, co-owners of Rhythms, and Stephanie Shoen.
