A call for volunteers of all age groups has been made by organizers of the 2011 Novato Festival of Art, Wine & Music, set for June 11-12 on Grant Avenue between Redwood Boulevard and Seventh Street.
Volunteer responsibilities include staffing street closures, the distribution of ice, beverages and glasses to the pouring stations and so-called floaters who can be used to fill in additional front-of-the-house positions during festival setup and public hours. Community service hours are available for students.
The festival is open to the pubilc from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 11 and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 12.

The festival attracts upwards of 90,000 people to the Old Town area over two days. The event, staged by the Novato Chamber of Commerce, is one of the premiere summer outdoor festivals in the Bay Area and the largest in Marin County based on attendance. It features a top-notch lineup of music on two stages, about 200 tented vendor booths, fun stuff for kids and dozens of food and drink options.
