Beatles Tribute Band, Wings Over Marin and Other Fun Events in and Around Novato
A coastal cleanup and an air show highlight this weekend's things to do around town.

Friday, Sept. 20
Beatles tribute band Pepperland is playing at Novato's Hopmonk Tavern tonight.
Lineup features KRUSH UK's Davey Alder fronting the band with authentic Brit vocals, Robert Butler and Will Campbell taking turns tastefully tackling the guitar parts, Jane Fossgreen adding the essential sax, harmony and percussion, Prairie Sun's Steve Buck nailing down the keyboards and Gary Creller (formerly of Norton Buffalo's Stampede) handling McCartney's legendary bass lines.
All ages show starts at 9pm. Tickets $15.

Also on Friday, Singer-songwriter Jerry Hannan will perform Irish ballads at 19 Broadway in Fairfax at 9 p.m.

Volunteers will gather in Novato as part of the annual California Coastal Cleanup Saturday 9 a.m. to noon. A free BBQ for all volunteers will be held following the event.
Or head over to Gnoss Field for the Wings Over Marin Air Show. This event will feature fly-bys of historic and modern airplanes, over 50 vintage cars, displays of emergency equipment from the Marin Sheriff and Fire departments. Starts 10 a.m. at Gnoss Field Marin County Airport (400 Airport Road, Novato). $10 adults/ $5 children.
Sunday, Sept. 22
Event will screen "Forks Over Knives," a documentary that explores the connection between degenerative diseases and animal-based and processed foods. The 6 p.m. showing will be held in the Community Room of the Church Building (495 San Marin Drive). The event is presented as a community service by Wellness Central, a California nonprofit corporation.
