Black Point and Green Point Will Become Separate Points
Neighbors lined up to explain why the Community Development Agency should stop lumping them together.
NOVATO, CA - Residents of Green Point got their way Tuesday night when the Marin County Board of Supervisors voted to direct staff to prepare separate community plans for the Black Point and Green Point neighborhoods.
The two neighborhoods don't see eye-to-eye on things like lot size, leading residents to line up to explain why the two should be treated independently.
The 118-page draft community plan also covers issues such as preserving community character, road maintenance, building setbacks, septic systems, night skies, natural asset protection, sudden oak death, and sea-level rise.
Green Point is north of Highway 37 on the Petaluma River, while Black Point is south of the highway.
