As Board President, Lucan will preside over meetings, approve final agendas and serve as the Board’s presiding officer for the year. District 3 Supervisor Stephanie Moulton-Peters was named First Vice President, and District 2 Supervisor Brian Colbert was selected as Second Vice President. Lucan takes over the role from District 1 Supervisor Mary Sackett.

Lucan joined the Board of Supervisors in January 2023. Prior to his current role, he served on the Novato Parks and Recreation Commission and was elected to the Novato City Council in 2011, serving as Mayor in 2014, 2019, and 2022.

He also emphasized his commitment to the entire community.

“I look forward to working together with my Board colleagues, community partners, and most importantly the 2,500-plus employees at the County of Marin to best serve our community with respect, accountability, and a commitment to improve the quality of life for ALL residents,” Lucan said.
