Bridge Fire Fully Contained On Black Mountain In Marin County
Point Reyes-Petaluma Road reopened Thursday morning at both Platform Bridge Road and Shoreline Highway.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – Crews have fully contained a fire that broke out Wednesday on Black Mountain in Marin County. The blaze, called the Bridge Fire, burned 45 acres and was fully contained by 3 p.m. Thursday, officials said.
The fire sparked on the west side of Black Mountain, near the Nicasio Reservoir, according to the Marin County Fire Department. The blaze was reported around 12:45 p.m.
Officials said it took time to increase containment because of the steep terrain on Black Mountain.

Point Reyes-Petaluma Road reopened Thursday morning at both Platform Bridge Road and Shoreline Highway.
No injuries have been reported and no structures were threatened. The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
