Chef Roberth Sundell Offers Scandinavian Menu on June 6

Eat well and benefit Homeward Bound of Marin with this chef's demonstration and dinner presented by Fresh Starts Chef Events.

Chef Roberth Sundell, chef/owner at Plaj in San Francisco and Stockhome in Petaluma, presents a menu of Scandinavian style from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 6, at Fresh Starts Chef Events.

Raised in Sweden, Chef Roberth arrived in San Francisco in 2012 with his wife and partner, Andrea. Plaj opened soon afterward in a cozy, European-style space at Inn at the Opera in San Francisco.

Chef Roberth’s innovative dishes have received accolades from the San Francisco Chronicle, Food & Wine, and 7x7 Magazine, with Zagat naming him one of "10 Under-the-Radar Chefs to Know in the Bay Area." His menu:

The couple opened their more casual restaurant, Stockhome, last August in Petaluma to offer family fare along with the Turkish street food popular in Sweden.

The event takes place in the showcase kitchen at The Key Room, 1385 N. Hamilton Parkway, in Novato. All proceeds benefit shelter and job-training programs at Homeward Bound of Marin.
