Commemorating Jesus' Death and Resurrection

Christians throughout the world this weekend will be remembering and celebrating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Bible identifies Jesus as the "Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!" (John 1:29). This looks to the cross where he died to pay for the sins of His people, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). On the third day, Jesus rose from the dead, showing forth his victory over sin and death (1 Corinthians 15).
