County Launches App To Let Users Report Potholes And Other Nuisance Issues In Unincorporated Areas
The application allows residents to easily submit, locate and track non-emergency reports for issues in the county's unincorporated areas.
MARIN COUNTY, CA — Marin County announced the launch of an app this week that will let residents report code violations and quality of life issues in the unincorporated areas of the county.
The app is called FixItMarin and lets users report several non-emergency problems such as road conditions, weather damage, vandalism or damaged property, according to a news release from the county.
Residents and other users can upload pictures, provide locations, and track updates.

Reports can also be made online and are designed for issues like potholes, illegal dumping, streetlight outages, fallen branches or trees, missing or damaged street signs
The rollout follows what was deemed a successful trial during a pilot program in fall last year.

"Together, we are building what modern, connected government should look like: simple tools, clear communication, and faster results for our residents," said Brian Colbert, the county supervisor for District 2. "What we communicate matters, but how we communicate matters just as much."
Dennis Rodoni, who represents District 4 on the county Board of Supervisors, said the app will help residents in his rural district get resolutions to their issues faster.
"Our successful pilot in the San Geronimo Valley shows how a simple tool can help neighbors report potholes, dumping, and road damage while improving coordination across departments," Rodoni said in a statement. "FixItMarin makes it easier for residents to connect directly with local government and see results. I encourage everyone to download FixItMarin, give it a try, and be part of keeping our communities safe, clean, and well-maintained."
