Presentation on the College Athletic Recruiting Process

Tom  Kovic, who spent 19 years as head gymnastics coach at the University of Pennsylvania, will deliver an interactive seminar on how to prepare for the college  recruiting  process.

Tom  led  the  Quakers  to  10  Conference  Team Championships,  while  being  honored  as  the  ECAC  and  NCAA  Coach  of  the  Year.

Tom  is  the  President  of  Victory  Collegiate  Consulting  where he  advises  individual  families  and  athletes  in  developing and executing  their  plans  for  the  college  search.

This  90 -minute  seminar  will  be  specifically  designed  for participants  and  families,  to encourage  proactive  preparation for  the  college  recruiting  process.  Tom  will  help  breakdown  important  information  in  the  following  areas:   

  • NCAA  Rules/NCAA  Eligibility  
  • Official/Unofficial  Visits  
  • Contacts  &  Evaluations  
  • Effectively  Communicating  With  College  Coaches  
  • Tactics  in  Positioning  the  Student-­Athlete  best  in  the  eyes  of  the  College  Coaches  
  • Athletic  Scholarships/Financial  Aid  
  • D-­3,  the  Ivy  League  and  Select,  Non  Scholarship Programs  
  • Personal  Profiles  &  the  Initial  Correspondence  
  • Developing  Winning  Videos  &  Websites  
  • Creating  Time-­lines  and  Organizational  Skills  Management  (The  Team  Approach)  

Each family will receive a one-year  subscription  to Collegerecruiting.tv  and  a  copy  of  the  manual.          
At  the  conclusion  of  the seminar, Kovic will remain  on  site  for  up  to  an  additional  90  minutes  to  speak  with  families  about  specific  questions  they  have  on  the  college  search.
