Fire Weather Watch Issued For North Bay Mountains
Dry conditions and gusty winds are expected to return this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

NORTH BAY, CA – Dry conditions and gusty winds are expected to return this weekend, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a fire weather watch for the North Bay mountains and other parts of the San Francisco Bay Area.
The fire weather watch will be in effect from late Friday night through late Saturday morning for the North Bay mountains and East Bay hills, according to the National Weather Service. Another offshore pattern will develop 15 to 30 mph winds across the region with 40 to 50 mph gusts, while humidity values will drop to 8 to 18 percent on Saturday.
The areas with the highest threats of fire danger are the hills of eastern Napa County, in addition to Mount Saint Helena and Mount Tamalpais, according to the weather service. Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly, weather officials said.
