Ignite Your Wild Creativity

Mark Making: Abstract Workshop at MarinMOCA. Saturday, June 11, 10:00 – 4:00 pm

Guest Artist: Bob Pace, MA
Prerequisite: None

Liberate your ability to use line and marks in your paintings and delight in expressing your own inner vocabulary. In this hands-on, one day workshop, you will make your own tools and brushes from non-traditional materials and explore techniques to create paintings with your own unique marks. A great workshop to get wild and discover new ways to enliven your art with demos by guest artist Bob Race.

Suzanne Jacquot earned a BFA at UC Berkeley in psychology and design, an MFA from Mills College in sculpture and photography, and an Art Therapy Certificate from Sonoma State University. Along with making art, she has run a graphic design firm, held the position of Associate Dean of Students at California College of the Arts, and taught art classes at the junior college level. She has shown her work in various galleries and museums throughout the Bay Area, and previously shared the SECA Award from the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco, as one of the most promising artists under 35.

Bob Race MA, is an accomplished gallery artist and has over 14 years teaching experience at Butte College. It is a privilege to have him demonstrate his techniques.
