Man Stabbed During Fight In Downtown Novato
Two men were arrested Tuesday after a fight in downtown Novato left one of them stabbed, authorities said.

NOVATO, CA – Two men were arrested Tuesday after a fight in downtown Novato left one of them stabbed, authorities said.
Darnell Robert Seniga, 41, and Ryan Scott Grimes, 27, along with an unidentified woman, got into a fight around 5:52 p.m. in the 1400 block of Grant Avenue, according to the Novato Police Department. A caller reported that one person involved in the fight had a knife and fled the scene.
Officers searched the area and found Seniga in the 1700 block of Grant Avenue. He had an empty knife sheath on his belt, police said. The knife was found in a trashcan in the 1600 block of Grant Avenue.

Officers found Grimes near the intersection of Grant and Railroad avenues, police said. When they tried to stop him he fled on his bike. After a short pursuit, police tased him near the intersection of Sherman and Grant avenues, officials said.
Grimes suffered a stab wound to his left shoulder during the fight with Seniga, police said. He was taken to a hospital. Police also arrested him on suspicion of resisting arrest, failing to yield to a law enforcement officer, unlawful fighting in public, and violating his probation.

Seniga was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, battery causing serious bodily injury, being a felon in possession of ammunition, destroying or concealing evidence, and violating his probation.
The woman involved in the fight was not found, police said.
