There is a Better Way for Novato and Marin County!
Our roads and highways are potholed and gridlocked. Only a paltry 1.6% worth of improvement has occurred each year for the last ten years. Novato has become a sea of For Lease signs. More and more employers have abandoned us. The business forum created to bring back jobs has become nothing more than another tax burden.
There's money to buy a golf course and other pet projects, but nothing has been allocated for our essential infrastructure and flood protection needs.

We have been promised a theater on Grant Avenue over and over again, but now we have nothing more than a hole in the ground.
We pay some of the nation's highest property taxes but still find up to 12 extra assessments on our tax bills, with promises of more to come.

The poor in Golden Gate Village (GGV), a public housing complex, are living in inhabitable units (see photo above). The Board of Supervisors (BOS) oversees the Marin Housing Authority (MHA). MHA manages GGV. The county are slumlords yet are putting restrictions on Mom and Pop landlords who, unlike MHA, are providing safe and habitable housing.
A different set of rules apply to the county and different set of rules apply to the people.
How did we get into such a mess?
Novato deserves better than professional politicians. It's time for the county to go in a better direction.
I am running for Supervisor for District 5 Novato for a better tomorrow.
