Mike's Bikes Relocating Company Headquarters to Novato

The headquarters for Mike's Bikes is moving to Novato, and is expected to be open next month, the company tells Patch.

The business, which currently operates 11 stores throughout Northern California, is moving into a building at 55 Leveroini Court in Bel Marin Keys.

Mike’s Bikes announced this week that they will move their headquarters and all distribution and operations to Novato this spring, combining their three San Rafael locations into one new facility in Bel Marin Keys with a total growth in square footage of nearly 50%.

Ken Martin, Founder and CEO of Mike’s Bikes, said this new headquarters at 55 Leveroni Court will be the hub of all central operations, and will allow Mike’s to provide a higher level of service and support to the retail stores and their customers.

“Bringing the entire central team together into a single modern building will make possible closer collaboration among departments, more coordinated and efficient execution, and in the end will translate into an enhanced customer experience and a Mike's Bikes that's stronger than ever,” said Martin. “This is the next step in the evolution of Mike’s Bikes.”

Eric Lucan, Mayor of Novato, says the City is excited about the move, adding "It is a great privilege to welcome Mike's Bikes and their employees to the City of Novato. Not only are they an extremely well respected and well run business, but they are also true community partners.  The fact that the largest independent bike dealer in the country has decided to base their headquarters and operations in Novato speaks volumes for our business climate and underscores what our community has to offer.”

The move will happen in stages over the next few months, and the Mike’s Bikes retail store on 4th Street in San Rafael is unaffected. 

Mike’s Bikes currently operates 11 stores throughout Northern California, and is the largest local bike shop in America. Mike’s employs over 250 cycling enthusiasts locally, including an estimated 40 at the new Novato headquarters.
