Missing Hiker Found Alive In Marin County
Robert Bennett, 76, was rescued and taken to a local hospital late Tuesday night, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — Search and rescuers found a man Tuesday after he went missing Monday while hiking in unincorporated Marin County.
Robert Bennett, 76, was rescued and taken to a local hospital late Tuesday night, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff's officials said Bennett was found alive but his condition was unknown.
Bennett was last seen at 1:22 p.m. Monday walking toward Valley Stone Trail Head, which leads toward Big Rock Ridge in Marinwood, according to sheriff's officials.

"He was located by K9 Luna, with the assistance of K9 Zinka after an extensive search effort this evening," sheriff's officials said on Twitter. "Thank you to all the agencies who assisted."
A search continued Tuesday in Marin for two others who went missing after possibly hiking in Marin.

Carol Kiparsky, 77, and Ian Irwin, 72, were renting a vacation home in Inverness, an unincorporated community in Marin, and may have been out hiking, according to sheriff's officials. They were last seen Friday at the rental house on Via de la Vista in the community of Inverness.
Robert Bennett has been transported to a local hospital where he is with his family. His condition is unknown at this time.
