Novato Police Nab Suspected Bank Robber

The man was found in San Rafael.

NOVATO, CA- Novato police arrested a man suspected of robbing the US Bank Wednesday afternoon, a police sergeant said.

Gary Grady, 59, was arrested around 7:30 p.m. Thursday at 111 Shoreline Parkway in San Rafael, Sgt. Mike Howard said. It wasn’t immediately clear how officials tracked the suspect down.

Employees of the bank at 1711 Grant Ave. said the suspect did not show a gun when he demanded money around 4:40 p.m., then fled on foot toward the Novato Library, Sgt. Sasha D’Amico said.

Grady was booked in the Marin County Jail under $50,000 bail for felony robbery.
