Novato, San Marin among 20 teams in Novato Classic
Annual summer-league girls basketball event tips off Friday morning and runs through Sunday night at Novato High; Marin Catholic, which placed second last year, is also in the field.
Summer-league girls basketball teams from and will be among 20 competing in the 24th Annual Novato Classic at Novato High beginning Friday morning and running through Sunday night.
Last year's second- and third-place finishers from Marin Catholic and Santa Rosa also will be among the teams vying for the championship in the popular annual event.
The Novato team, which opens play Friday at noon against the Mustangs of Fairfield, consists of: seniors , , , Roxy Kermani, and , juniors Kyra Averiette, , , and , and incoming freshmen Danielle Bosley, , , , and .

San Marin, which tips off its tournament play Friday at 11 a.m. against the Braves of Napa, will field a roster of: seniors , , , , , , and , juniors , Maya Stevens and Megan Franz, and sophomores Hailey Baker, Allison Neih, , Katherine Gonzales and Elaina Pelfini.
Alferness made the Classic All-Tournament team last summer.
