The organizers also run workshops, online story slams, and the Bay Area Storytelling Festival, creating a welcoming space for both first-time and seasoned storytellers to share their stories close to home.

Novato woman sentenced for DUI crash that killed mother, aunt near Petaluma (petalumanews.com) — A Novato woman has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for a DUI crash on Highway 101 near Petaluma that killed her mother and aunt earlier this year. Investigators say her blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit, and a prior DUI arrest contributed to prosecutors pursuing serious charges and the judge's final sentence.
   

4. Sports Briefs: Wallace solid in net as Tam beats San Marin (marinij.com) — Novato sports fans can catch up on a busy slate of local high school action, including San Marin's home water polo loss to Tam and Novato High's flag football shutout against Marin Catholic. The roundup also highlights girls golf at Indian Valley Golf Club, strong showings from Redwood and Archie Williams teams, and open coaching positions at Terra Linda.
