NOVATO, CA — An ongoing probe led to the arrest of a suspect authorities are calling a “prolific narcotics dealer” and the seizure of drugs, firearms, ammunition and cash, authorities said.

Christopher Rougeau’s arrest Wednesday in Vallejo culminated an investigation that began last year, according to the Marin Sheriff’s Office.

At the time of his arrest, Rougeau had a loaded pistol in his waistband and a loaded un-serialized Polymer 80 Glock clone pistol within arm’s reach inside of his vehicle, the Sheriff’s Office said.

During a search of Rougeau's vehicle and residence, detectives found two “Glock switches” (devices that turn the pistols into fully automatic machine guns), a sawed off pistol grip shotgun, another pistol, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and several suspected controlled substances including over a quarter pound of crystal methamphetamine, and approximately an ounce of cocaine and an ounce of heroin, the Sheriff’s Office said.

He was also in possession of counterfeit M-30 pills containing fentanyl, and over 60 pounds of marijuana, the Sheriff’s Office said.

An additional complaint for charges is being sought in the Marin County Superior Court for the sale of crystal methamphetamine to an undercover detective, the Sheriff’s Office said.

This case is also being considered for Federal prosecution, the Sheriff’s Office said.
