Rain, Gusty Winds In Novato: Work Week Forecast

NOVATO, CA – The season's strongest storm is starting off the week. Periods of heavy rain are expected in the North Bay, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a flash flood watch for areas affected by the North Bay wildfires.

Rainfall totals Monday and Monday night are forecast to range from 1.5 to 2.5 inches in the North Bay valleys and from 2 to 4 inches in the North Bay mountains, weather officials said. Locally higher amounts are possible.

Rain. Low around 54. South southeast wind 15 to 20 mph becoming east 8 to 13 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Rain likely before 10am, then a chance of showers after 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 58. North northwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming west in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
