Scream on the Green: a Fall Faire

Looking for a fun, family-friendly, community Halloween and Autumn Festival? On Saturday, October 24 & Sunday, October 25, the Novato Chamber of Commerce is hosting an Autumn Celebration—Scream on the Green: a Fall Faire is a FREE community celebration in the beautiful downtown district of Novato.

On October 24th, the Downtown Novato Business Association (DNBA) will be hosting a Safe-Trick-o-Treat where children can come up and down Grant Avenue and meet the friendly merchants as they entice them for goodies and candies. Don’t forget DNBA’s great Pumpkin Patch where children can have their pick! (On both the 24th and 25th)

Make your way up Sherman Avenue to the great Carnival Games and discover it’s full of your friends and neighbors playing and hosting fun attractions. Along with the Jumpy House and Slide organized by Boy Scout Troop 200, you will also discover great food & beverages along with the rest of the tempting sweets of the season.

The Marin YMCA will be hosting several of the carnival games, but we are especially thankful the City of Novato who has arranged to invite We Thrill the World to the event. Join Novato in learning and performing the iconic zombie dance which is part of a streamed-worldwide movement. After head on over the Haunted House (sponsored by CCK) and get a few frights in before checking out the Novato Fire District’s working Fire Engine—where little ones and their parents can explore the inner workings of the vehicles that protect so many lives.

If all of this candy has your head and gut spinning don’t miss Titanium Racing’s Monster Dash (5K) & Lil’ Goblin Race (1 mi) on Sunday, October 25. Run in costume and explore the picturesque community of Downtown Novato in the early mornings as the carnival festivities return for a second-day of lively fun! Your little ones may be interested in riding the ponies while you visit the friendly downtown merchants and restaurants that give Novato it’s unique charm.

Come join our community celebrate Autumn with this FREE community carnival. Great music, food, dance, costume, livery, and all the shrills, spooks and shrieks of Halloween. Join Novato, a picturesque North Marin community at Scream on the Green: a Fall Faire.
