SF Homicide Legend To Speak About Zodiac, Night Stalker At Novato City Hall
A local resident and former homicide inspector will also discuss investigating cases like the Zebra serial killings and City Hall murders.
NOVATO, CA — Locals will have an opportunity to hear from a Novato resident and former San Francisco homicide inspector as he recounts his dramatic investigations from the turbulent 1970s and 1980s.
Frank Falzon, is scheduled to speak at the Quarterly Membership Meeting of the Novato Historical Guild on from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at Novato City Hall.
"Falzon will talk about his dramatic investigations during the turbulent 1970s and 1980s," Barry Smail, Novato Historical Guild president, told Patch.

During his 28-year career with the San Francisco Police Department, 22 of those years spent in the homicide detail, Falzon said he investigated more than 300 murders.
The cases he will recount include the Night Stalker, the Dan White City Hall murders of Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk — an investigation that involved his childhood friend and former fellow cop — and his participation in serial murder investigations such as the Zebra and Zodiac cases.

Falzon inherited the infamous Zodiac case from inspector Dave Toschi, and said he was part of the task force investigating the racially motivated Zebra killings, which left 15 people dead in the mid-1970s.
Falzon, a San Francisco native, said he and his wife, Donna, currently live in Marin County and have four grown children, two of whom are in law enforcement, and nine grandchildren.
