A drawing, painting, and collage workshop for kids ages 5 – 10. Kids will explore drawing, painting, and collage while utilizing basic elements of art such as color, shape, line, and texture to create dynamic and playful compositions! Projects will take place in the classroom and be informed by sketchbook activities onsite at Novato Arts Center. Topics of exploration include: composition, basic color theory, self-expression, and art appreciation.

All students are required to bring lunch and water.
Cindy Imhoff-Bruininks is an artist and visual arts instructor with 16 years teaching experience in the classroom. Her most recent passion for working with children was discovered through making art with her 5-year-old son, Zane. She received a BFA in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute and an MFA in Art Practice from The University of California–Berkeley. Exhibitions and publications include: MarinMOCA, Bronx River Arts Center, Mesa Arts Center AZ, Southern Exposure SF CA, Holter Museum of Art MT, Berkeley Art Center, Berkeley Art Museum and New American Paintings: MFA Annual.
