Surfer Attacked By Shark On Marin County Coast

The surfer escaped injury in his encounter with a shark at a local beach, officials said.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — A surfer avoided injury when a shark bumped his board at Dillon Beach in Marin County, officials said Tuesday.

The surfer was hit by what officials assume is a great white shark around 200 yards offshore, according to the Marin County Fire Department.

The shark left a nose print on the bottom of the surfer's board.
