Surveillance Videos Show Novato Costco Burglary Suspects

NOVATO, CA – Police released surveillance videos Monday night that show three people wearing surgical masks stealing jewelry Sunday morning from a Costco store in Novato.

According to the Novato Police Department, officers were dispatched around 10:11 a.m. to the Costco Wholesale store at 300 Vintage Way, where the suspects used a hammer to smash the glass display cases and steal jewelry.

The suspects fled the store in a getaway vehicle before police arrived at the scene, officials said. Police have not located the suspect vehicle.

According to police, no weapons were seen on the suspects and no one was injured during the crime.

Witnesses described the suspects as African American male adults, possibly in their 20s. The vehicle is described as a dark-colored, four-door sedan similar to a Chevy Sonic, with paper dealer plates, police said.

Police are asking for the public's help in finding the vehicle and suspects in the Novato burglary. Anyone with any information is asked to call Novato police at 415-897-4361.
