Weapons, Drugs Found After Retail Theft Worth Nearly $3k In Marin County: Police
Police said they responded after an estimated $2,000 to $3,000 worth of items was stolen from a sporting goods store.
NOVATO, CA — After a retail store in Novato had items stolen from it on Tuesday, police said they found the suspects and discovered not only the stolen items but drugs and weapons as well.
At around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Novato Police Department officers said they responded to a report that four people had stolen about $2,000 to $3,000 worth of items from Sports Basement in the Vintage Oaks shopping center.

After receiving descriptions of the suspects, police said they spoke with two women who gave them false identities. Police said they found additional suspects around the same time and learned that a gold sedan was involved in the theft, which they found parked near Target.

Police then said they found three ounces of Fentanyl, a concealed dagger, heroin, pepper spray and stolen property.

Officers said they booked all suspects into the Marin County Jail, including Alyssa Hunter, 33, of Arcata, for possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, burglary, grand theft, conspiracy, false ID to a peace officer and ID theft; Taylor Snelgrove, 29, of McKinleyville for burglary, grand theft, conspiracy, and possession of controlled substances; Perry Sanderson, 37, of Eureka, for warrant and parole violations, possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl and drug paraphernalia, possession of a concealed dagger, and a felon in possession of pepper spray; and Richard Feliz, 47, of Redwood Valley for conspiracy, and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

"We are grateful for assistance from store employees and witnesses who provided information leading to a positive outcome in this case," police said.
