For the many years that I have lived in Novato I have never known the city to allow illegitimate massage parlors to establish themselves among the business community. A long time friend of mine had mentioned to me during conversation that she had heard there was at least one or two illegal massage parlors operating in Novato. I had a hard time believing this because I had never seen any massage business in town that struck me as suspicious and I always trusted that Novato did a good job protecting the community against this sort of thing.
With this conversation with my friend still stuck in my head I decided to research a little to see if I could find anything that may either support this claim or better yet, discredit the claim. A quick internet search on some of the listed Massage business names operating in the city of Novato gave me a very quick answer on the information I was seeking. I came up with a link to a posting on classified ads website that clearly is advertising with an implication for services beyond a traditional massage.
As a community we can not allow this sort of thing to develop and grow because the horrible treatment that the young girls who work in these places have to endure is not ok and should not be accepted by our community or any other community for that matter.
