• Waymo Just Took a Crucial Step Toward Self-Driving Cars in the 925 Bay Area Telegraph (bayareatelegraph.com) — Oakley is now officially on Waymo's map, with state regulators clearing the company to eventually offer paid, driverless rides in Oakley and other 925 cities. While no launch date is set, the approval removes the biggest regulatory hurdle, meaning mapping and testing in local streets could start before robotaxis arrive. Residents may soon spot Waymo vehicles preparing the way for future service.
