The Beauty in the Beast: Crafting Creatures by Neville Page Exhibition Tour and Live Demonstration of Creature Development

Character design is critical to the plausibility of alternate realities in science fiction movies. Artists are able to bridge the gap between fantasy and reality by creating mythical anatomy, believable surface detail and personality through the art of creature design. In numerous films and television series’ Neville Page brings to life bio-mechanical killers, virtual worlds and alien creatures that explore alternate realities. The Beauty in the Beast: Crafting Creatures by Neville Page will display the original designs from blockbuster films he has worked on such as Prometheus (2012), Super 8 (2011), Green Lantern (2011) and Tron (2010), among others, showcasing  Page’s  use  of  traditional  media  as  well  as  digital  tools  such as Photoshop and Zbrush to create fantastic creatures and exotic characters. The exhibition features Page’s design progressions, from early pencil sketches, to more  developed digital concepts and small 3D models.
