New Orleans Eats In Oceanside, The Brick Hotel Restaurant Plans

Coming soon to Downtown Oceanside. New dining venues at The Brick will include a rooftop cocktail bar, Succulent Cafe returns and more.

OCEANSIDE, CA — The renovation of the Schuyler building, the oldest three-story building in Oceanside, into The Brick Hotel has captured much interest over the last 2 years. Locals have been curious with anticipation to learn what new venues will accompany the hotel's transformation in downtown Oceanside. But now the table is set and restaurant plans have been dished up!

In addition to becoming a boutique vacation destination, the Brick Hotel is expected to be a fun food and beverage destination that will cater to Oceansiders and visitors alike.

Grind and Prosper Hospitality of San Diego are bringing new dining options to The Brick as Oceanside continues to expand its diverse and unique food culture.

Located on the ground level, Q&A Restaurant & Oyster Bar, named after executive chef Quinnton Austin, will serve chargrilled oysters and other New Orleans eats.

The 2,100 sq ft rooftop will house CocoCabana, a Caribbean-style cocktail bar with its own menu of small bites.

In the spirit of community collaboration, the restaurant at The Brick will also provide food service to nearby Frankie’s, Stone Brewing, and soon-to-be returning to Oceanside, the Succulent Cafe.

Frankie's is a lavish new cocktail lounge that has been beautifully decorated with leather booths, gorgeous chandeliers and a stunning bar. Stop in for an expertly crafted cocktail by one of their professional mixologists.

Just around the corner and behind the Brick, enjoy a Stone beer in a relaxed, intimate setting in their Oceanside tasting room.

Peter Loyola opened Succulent Cafe back in 2013 on N. Cleveland Street. After relocating to Carlsbad four years ago, he is planning to return to downtown Oceanside behind the Brick, just one block away from where it all started.

“I never wanted to leave Oceanside, but issues with the landlord made me relocate the café to Carlsbad,” says Loyola. “Oceanside has a vibe that fits me more. It has more grit, more diversity, and more down-to-earth people.” Loyola told the San Diego Reader.

Oceanside is excited to welcome back the Succulent Cafe!
