• Christian Faamaligi Succumbs to Injuries After Oceanside Bicycle Crash (pacificattorneygroup.com) — Oceanside residents should know that 31-year-old local cyclist Christian Anthony Faamaligi has died after being struck by a vehicle on westbound Mission Avenue near Ocean Point Road on Tuesday night. He was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla and pronounced dead early Wednesday, and Oceanside police are still investigating how the vehicle-versus-bicycle collision occurred.

Literacy Festival September 26 (northcountydailystar.com) — Oceanside readers and writers can mark September 26 for the free Write On, Oceanside! literary festival at the Civic Center Library Plaza on North Coast Highway.
