Beach Reopens After Shark Sighting In Oceanside
Lifeguards temporarily closed the beach on Tuesday.

OCEANSIDE, CA – A shark sighting prompted lifeguards to temporarily close a section of the beach Tuesday in Oceanside.
A hammerhead shark was spotted around 11 a.m., city officials announced. After the sighting, lifeguards closed the city's ocean shoreline from Wisconsin Avenue to Harbor Beach.
Oceanside police officers also monitored the scene from a boat offshore, city officials said.

The beach reopened around 2:30 p.m., after lifeguards believed the shark had moved away from the area.
