What's Happening Oceanside? Things To Do This Weekend

Beer Town Opens, Artist Awakening, Movies at the Pier, Oceanside Unfiltered Exhibit are all happening this weekend in (or near) Oceanside.

OCEANSIDE, CA — There are so many things to do in Oceanside it can be hard to choose. Here's our Patch pick of the best things to do this weekend.

Beer Town Grand Opening
March 12, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Grand Opening on Saturday at 507 N. Coast Highway. Beer Town will offer a full taproom and bottle shop specializing in under-represented beers from outside the San Diego area. Beer Town is a comfortable space where people can enjoy a weekend brunch with the family or grab a unique craft beer with dinner after a long workday.

Artist Awakening XIII
March 12, Artist Alley Oceanside. Experience a celebration of art, culture and humanity at Artist Awakening XIII. This free monthly community-based pop-up hosted by Downtown Oceanside body jewelry shop Ikigai Artifacts Co. Hang out with over 40 artists & musicians from 1pm-8pm on Saturday at Artist Alley Oceanside.

12th Annual Brewbies Oceanside
March 12, Bagby Beer Co. The 12th Annual Brewbies Festival benefiting Keep A Breast returns Saturday from 1-5 p.m. Enjoy an array of signature pink beers from 30-plus breweries, including Downtown's own Bagby Beer, Booze Brothers Brewing Co., Breakwater Brewing Co., Northern Pine Brewing and Stone Brewing. All tickets include a Brewbies glass, bracelet and unlimited samplings of over 80 craft beers. Tickets are $69 online and at the door.

Movie at the Pier - The Sandlot
March 12, Junior Seau Pier Amphitheatre. Movies at the Pier returns to Oceanside on March 12th! We are kicking things off with a showing of The Sandlot at the Junior Seau Beach Amphitheater. The movie starts at dusk (plan on being there around 5:30pm). Make sure to dress warmly and bring a blanket or chair to sit on. This event is free to the public!

The Toga Party Band Live At Ebullition Brew Works
March 12, 5:00 pm. Toga Party Band is Southern California’s premier dance band with one goal in mind, to get you to loosen up from your stressful lifestyle, Animal House style. A full night of music and a full dance floor is what you should expect when you show up at one of our performances. Everyone is welcome to wear a toga, but it is not necessary.

Oceanside Unfiltered is a street photography exhibition showcasing local photographers.
The selected photos showcase a candid and truly unfiltered view of Oceanside, focusing on places and individuals that often go unnoticed. This eye-opening exhibition is curated by notable Oceanside photographer, Zach Cordner. Cordner has been a resident of Oceanside for over twenty years. He has spent the time documenting Oceanside throughout its interesting evolution.

"Into the Woods"
March 18-May 1, Brooks Theater
A co-production by New Village Arts and Oceanside Theatre Company, this Stephen Sondheim musical brings well-known fairytale characters to musical life. Previewing March 18-25 and opening March 26, "Into the Woods” will transform the Oceanside Theatre Company’s stage into a magic land where almost anything can and does happen.
