Whiz Kid Tiffany Tsan Honored as Valedictorian for Oceanside High
This week, Patch recognizes OHS senior Tiffany Tsan. She's her class valedictorian—and ready to take on new challenges.
This week's honor goes to Oceanside High School senior Tiffany Tsan. She is this year's valedictorian, and here are some reasons why she is a Whiz Kid:
- Whiz Kid's Achievement: Tsan is the valedictorian for OHS, with a GPA over 4.0 in AP courses. She is one of only four students enrolled in a new class, Calculus B.C. Her favorite subject is math, but Tsan likes to hang out with friends and listen to music during her free time.
- Whiz Kid's Awesomeness: Tsan was inspired by her AP psychology and comparative politics teacher, Nancy Miller. "She really motivated me to do the best I can." Tsan enjoys challenges, including taking new and innovative classes offered.
- Whiz Kid's Legacy: Tsan incorporates study groups with spending quality time with friends. She has mastered the art of having fun while achieving academic excellence. "Don't be afraid to try something new; otherwise, you'd be missing out on a lot of neat stuff," she said.
