Women's Resource Center Receives $20K “Let Oceanside Vote" Donation
WRC provides supportive services, counseling, and shelter to people in North County involved in or threatened by domestic violence.

OCEANSIDE, CA — The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) of Oceanside received a $20,000 contribution from “Let Oceanside Vote” volunteers to support victims of gender-based violence.
The impact of gender-based violence is wide-ranged, always varied, individual to each situation -- damaging not only to victims’ physical safety, financial stability, and mental health -- but also to the well-being of entire communities and future generations. WRC offers a safe, non-isolating environment for survivors and their children to rest, recuperate, and plan next steps.
“We work individually with clients to assess their needs and guide them in receiving the resources and support necessary to rebuild their lives away from violence.”, said Jill Marshall, Deputy Director at WRC.

“For 48 years WRC has helped victims escape, rebuild their lives after abuse, achieve economic independence; and stop the cycle of violence in our communities through victim empowerment and education of the next generation. We could not do this work without the support of our community”, said Lauren-Jane Stephenson, Director of Development and Business Services.
WRC extends a sincere thank you to “Let Oceanside Vote” for their most recent donation of $20,000. This donation will be invested to ensure that WRC continues to provide critically needed services and materials to the most vulnerable members of our community. We are grateful for their commitment to bolstering the efforts of agencies like WRC and others that rely on the support and encouragement of our local communities.
