Award-winning, bestselling author Tess Gerritsen has written more than thirty novels, published in forty countries and selling over 40 million copies worldwide. Many of her books have been top-three bestsellers in the U.S. and #1 bestsellers internationally. The daughter of a Chinese immigrant and a Chinese American seafood chef, Gerritsen grew up in San Diego dreaming of writing Nancy Drew mysteries. She earned a degree from Stanford University and an M.D. from the University of California, San Francisco, before turning to fiction while on maternity leave from her medical career.
