19 Coronavirus Deaths In Orange County This Week
A total of 3,240 residents of Orange County have contracted the virus to date, and 71 of those have died, OC Health Care says.
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Orange County officials reported 153 new cases of coronavirus, and five more deaths, Friday. In Orange County, 3,240 residents have tested positive, and the county now has a death toll of 71.
Nineteen people have died from the disease since Monday, Orange County Health Care Agency officials say.
The number of patients hospitalized with the virus dropped from 202 on Tuesday to 188 Friday. Of those, the number of patients in intensive care increased to 74, total.

The total number of people in the county tested for the virus increased to 46,372 with 812 tests reported Wednesday.

Orange County, meanwhile, struggled over how to return to normalcy. With all but 16 percent of the county's beaches now open for active use, residents who love the coast have the chance to walk, swim, paddle or surf in the Pacific as of Wednesday.
With the governor's loosening of restrictions set to begin Friday, the county officials are hammering at a plan that calls for clarity in the reopening of Orange County. Supervisor Lisa Bartlett said her office has received hundreds of phone calls from residents inquiring whether the county is allowing businesses to reopen.
