For Oroville residents, this means more reliable dam operations, better flood protection, and stronger support for salmon and steelhead habitat during heat and drought. State officials say it's part of a broader push to modernize the dam's aging infrastructure. 
• Wyoming, Utah and Arizona Among 14 States Sharing $11.2 Million for Rural Residencies, but Doctors Are Years Away (medicaldaily.com) — Oroville residents should know that Oroville Hospital is among rural facilities sharing $11.2 million in federal planning grants to create new physician residency programs. While the funding could eventually help attract and keep more doctors locally, the article stresses that accreditation, training, and staffing mean any real increase in available physicians is still several years away.

- Just wanted to give a shout out to Jennifer and the Butte County Public Works people who came out today and repaired a couple of potholes on Greenbrier Drive the day after I called to request the work be done.
Would that all governmental agencies were that responsive! (Nextdoor Kelly Ridge) - Outside of J & C Automotive can anybody recommend a mobile mechanic here in Oroville that knows how to R & R a power steering pump on an early 2000's Hyundai Santa Fe?
I contacted J & C Automotive in the begining and they said they could do it so I ordered the parts, when the parts came in last week I contacted them… (Nextdoor Mitchell Ave/5th Ave)
