• Update: Railroad Fire burns four acres in Butte County (sacbee.com) — A new wildfire dubbed the Railroad Fire has burned about four acres near Railroad Avenue and Messina Avenue in Oroville, with Cal Fire crews still working and no containment details yet released. First spotted Monday afternoon, the blaze is being tracked by Cal Fire's Butte Unit, and residents should stay alert for changing conditions and possible updates on evacuations or road closures.
